Web 2.0 Tools Research assignment

I experimented with the tool on quikmaps.com. It uses maps from google maps, and allows you to draw and post objects on the map. I very quickly used the tool to make a sample map where students could map routes. My sample was for students to show two different routes that they could take to go from the high school to a highway. I found it very easy to use, and would be beneficial to teach students map features. I feel that students would enjoy the ability to manipulate and edit maps that they see online everyday. Students could brainstorm other uses for the application.
